Saga Dawa Festival is observed as one of the most important festival in Buddhist society all over the world.This festival held each year on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month of the Tibetan calendar.This festival is celebrated in honor of Sakyamuni's enlightenment.And this auspicious day coincide with three important events in Buddha's life, Birth, Nirvana and death,mailly held around Mount Kailash area, thousand people will come from different parts of Tibet and gethering on FULLMOON and change the prayer flags at Darpoche ones year,this festival has been held here for the last thousand years... Having been part just once is such a powerful experience.

Day01 18th May BY TRAIN TO LHASA AND TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Arrive to Lhasa station and received by Tibetan and driver with Tibetan traditionl white scarf (kharta) and introduce themselves,transfer to Hotel Kyichu

Day02 19th May SIGHTSEEING
AM:Potala Palace, PM:Drepung Monastery or Norbulinka
Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. Built in the mid-18th century by the 7th Dalailama, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalai lama's summer palace, it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo.
Drepung monastery; Built in1416 by Tsongapa's disciple Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa.

Day 03 20th May SIGHTSEEING
AM:Sera Monastery PM;Jokhang temple
Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa's disciple Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang, one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Sontsanganbu.
Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple.

Day04 21st May DRIVE TO GYANTSE
Drive to Gyantse via Yamdoktso lake,Khambala pass(4973m),Karola or Karola glacier(5050m),Simela pass(4440m) and transfer to Gyantse Hotel 270km 5hrs

Day05 22nd May DRIVE TO SHIGATSE
Drive to Shigatse via Tashi Lunbu Monastery and transfer to Hotel Manasarovar

Day06 23rd May DRIVE TO SAGA
Drive to Saga O/nt GH

Day07 24th May DRIVE TO DARCHENG
Drive to Darcheng via Himalaya ranges between Nepal and Tibet border O/nt GH

Day08 25th May FULLDAY EXCURSION AROUND DARPOCHE(SAGA DAWA)

Day09 26th May START TREK TO DIRAPUK
Drive ahead of Tarboche - to the trek starting point of Kailash Parikarma (13 Kms) Trek to Dirapuk 4860m 7 Kms approx 5 - 6 Hrs.Guest House

Day10  27th May TREK TO ZUTHUL PUK (4760m)
Trek to Zuthul Puk 4760m 18 Kms. approx 9-10 Hrs. Guest House.

Day11 28th May TREK TO DARCHENG AND End & drive to Horchu,O/nt GH
End Kailash Kora 10 Kms approx 3 - 4 Hrs Trek. Drive to Paryang 270 Kms 6-7 Hrs. O/nt at Htl Paryang .

Day12 29th May DRIVE TO SAGA (4600m)
Drive to Saga 255 Kms 6-7 Hrs O/nt at Htl Saga.

Day13 30th May SAGA - RONGBUK (3750m)
Drive to Nyalam. 240 Kms 6 -7 Hrs. O/nt at Htl Nyalam or similar

Day14 31st May EXCURSION EBC
Walk around Mount Everest Base Camp and enjoy the view,

Day15 01st June RONGBUK - NYALAM
Drive to Nyalam via Mount Shisha Pengma O/nt GH

Day16 02nd June NYALAM - KATHMANDU 1315m
Drive downhill to Zhangmu and Friendship Bridge where transportation awaits for the final leg of journey to Kathmandu. 153 kms / 7 - 8 hrs drive. O/n hotel.

Day17 03rd June DRIVE TO FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE / EXIT TO NEPAL
Drive to Nepal border and exit.
