Namche Barwa (Tsanpo Gorge) Walking & Trekking

Mount Namche Barwa(7756m) is the highest snow peak in the Linzhe area. The Namchag Barwa Trek circles the Yarlong Tsangpo River valley (also known as the Namchag Barwa valley), and is the largest valley in the world. The average depth of the valley is 5000m, with the lowest point 5382m. In 1994, the Great Canyon of the Namchag Barwa valley was confirmed as the largest in the world by both the American Geographic Committee and the Guinness Book of World Records. Here you will find rich plant life as well as stunning geography, and you will also have the chance to see the Menba and Luoba minority people who populate the valley.

Day01:KATHMANDU / CHENGDU TO LHASA
Arrive Ganggar airport and drive to Lhasa,You will stop at Nyithang stone budhha for photo,this stone budhha is carvedand in the 11th century by the student of Ati Sha(Indian Master) who named Zhomthong ba and also you can have lovely landscape of Keychu river,O/H Shangbala or Keychu Hotel

Day02:SIGHTSEEING
AM:Visit Sera Monastery PM: Jokhang Temple & Barkhor street
Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa's disciple Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang, one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple.

Day03:SIGHTSEEING
AM:Visit Potala Palace PM:Drepung Monastery & Norbulingka Palace
Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. Built in the mid-18th century by the 7th Dalailama, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalai lama's summer palace, it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo.
Drepung monastery built in 1416 by Tsongapa's disciple Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa.

Day04:DRIVE TO BAYI
Bayi is located 465km from Lhasa and on the way you can visit an beautiful nature lake which named Basumtso lake,also visit the Laolang forest lake,Nomadic and biggest

Day05:DRIVE TO PAILONG
Next morning drive to Pailong,preparing for trek for next,O/H Camp

Day06:TREK
Trek fron Pailong town, cross cable bridge,then walk to Yumei O/H Camp

Day07:TREK
Trek to Zhaqu O/H Camp

Day08:TREK
Full day trekking around Zhaqu,Yarlong Tsanpo River and Namche Barwa, the deepest canyon of the world, O/H Camp

Day09:TREK
Trek to Yumei from Zhaqu O/H Camp

Day10:TREK
Trek to Pailong and then drive to Bayi O/H Shangbala Hotel

Day11:DRIVE TO BASUM
Drive to Basum 125km (Basu) O/H Resort Hotel

Day12:DRIVE TO LHASA
Drive to Lhasa O/H Keychu Hotel

Day13:DRIVE TO AIRPORT
